600 bucks... Each?

Part of what I did while at the Goddard Space Flight Center was to write programs that accurately modeled and simulated the performance of spacecraft power systems, so we could design them to be as efficient as possible. So I wrote two FORTRAN programs to do this. These were used for several GSFC projects and became a "staple" in the power branch. As with most NASA code, they were submitted to COSMIC, which was a central storage for all NASA and government code and has been discountinued. Imagine my surprise to discover that they are still available. Now imagine my greater surprise to see the prices they are asking for the software. Not bad for orphaned code. And no, I get nothing at all from any sales. Zilch. Nada.
